May Training Update

We are excited to offer two professional learning opportunities on May 30, led by Shirleen Davis with Purpose Partners Consulting, and Anastasia Spann with Florence County First Steps.

Session 1: Professional Development – A Peaceful Guide to a Proactive Classroom
Time: 8:30 AM – 11:00 AM

This training equips early childhood educators with proactive classroom strategies that create peaceful learning environments, reduce challenging behaviors, and support children’s social-emotional development. Participants will explore how classroom environments, routines, relationships, and guidance strategies influence children’s behavior and learning. Through discussion, reflection, and practical activities, providers will learn to prevent challenging behaviors before they occur while fostering positive relationships and self-regulation skills in young children.

Session 2: Setting Appropriate Boundaries in Early Childhood Settings – Part 1
Presented by: Anastasia Spann
Time: 11:30 AM – 2:00 PM
Credit: 2.5 Hours Child Guidance / ABC Social-Emotional Credit

Setting appropriate behavior boundaries in early childhood settings is essential to supporting children’s social-emotional development, self-regulation, and positive relationships. In this first session of a two-part training series, participants will examine behavior through a developmental lens, explore why setting boundaries matters, and learn how to establish clear, consistent, and developmentally appropriate expectations.

The focus of this session is on deepening understanding of children’s behavior and strengthening the use of effective boundaries that support safety, learning, and emotional development.

Registration is now open. Please see the information below to reserve your spot. We look forward to seeing you!
